Mark has studied esoteric elements of the martial arts under Hanshi Stephen Kaufman of Dojo no Hebi Ryu. 

Mark is proficient in edged-weapon throwing (distances up to 30 ft), a skill learned under the tutelage of his father and first instructor, Sensei Samuel J. Liverio of Liverio Ryu Bujutsu.
